"INTEGER NUMBERS"

Matemáticas. 1º de E.S.O.

Tratamos en esta unidad, de que l@s alumn@s conozcan los números enteros en el entorno cotidiano, sus propiedades y las operaciones a realizar con dichos números, de manera que se familiaricen con ellos de una forma amena y divertida, a la vez que los trabajan en un segundo idioma (en este caso el inglés).

En la unidad se detallan los siguientes aspectos generales

• Criterios de evaluación

Además se incluyen aspectos específicos de la enseñanza en L2

• Contenidos lingüísticos en los que se incluyen funciones, estructuras y léxico
• En los criterios de evaluación se ha incorporado el dominio del vocabulario específico en L2
• Key vocabulary

Tal como se trató en el Bloque 1 se incluyen expresiones utilizadas en el aula (Classroom management)

• Can you find…?
• Where did you put…?
• Can you repeat that please?

Y que sirven para introducir gramática general.

Además se incluyen actividades en las que se trabaja cada una de las destrezas de L2, listening, speaking, reading y writing.

Listening: actividades en las que los alumnos escuchan como se leen diferentes operaciones

Ejemplo: Four plus five equals nine

Writing: actividades en las que los alumnos escriben en L2

Ejemplo: Listen to your teacher and fill in the gaps.

Reading: actividades en las que los alumnos tienen que leer y entender un texto en L2.

Ejemplo: Write a numerical expresión for the following phrases. The product of negative twelve and three.  -12 x 3 = - 36

Speaking: actividades de relacionar conceptos trabajando en parejas para que hablen en L2.

Todas las actividades trabajan una o varias de estas destrezas de modo que en cada actividad se identifica la o las que se usan. Para ello se utilizan iconos en el enunciado.

Al final de la unidad se incluye un formulario en el que el alumno determina si ha tenido dificultades en alguna de las destrezas de L2.

4. Contextual (cultural) element	Pupils must recognize the vocabulary related to numbers, the evolution from ancient times to nowadays. To connect numbers with the environment we will try to use examples of real life. To introduce negative numbers we will speak about money in several situations in which the result will be negative numbers.
