In this unit, students will do several activities to learn the concepts that will be analyzed during the different sessions.

            The activities are:

            Session 1

With the first session I will try to motivate students making them be aware of importance of knowing macroeconomics concepts to understand their economic environment. Firstly, we are going to watch two videos about what is Macroeconomic and after, I would like to make an activity in groups where students can remember different concepts that have been shown during the videos. This way, they will speak in English while they are learning the concepts.

To introduce the unit, besides of making these activities, students have to write down the new concepts in an individual economic dictionary, and working in groups, they will explain what have understood. This activity will be made with the use of web http://www.symbaloo.com/mix/economics45.

            Session 2

The main objective in this session is students can learn the different economic indicators. So that, I will make an exposition about what is National Production, Gross Domestic Product, Gross National Product, Net Domestic Product, National Income, Income per capita.

This exposition is complemented by the use of the next web

Afterwards, students will have to make an activity of investigation, in which they will analyze different indicators and practice with a lot of exercises, using webs like

http://www.macrobasics.com/chapters/chapter6/lesson61/ (to calculate different indicators with given information (transformation scaffolding)

            Session 3

Lastly, using the image from web www.tutor2u.net/economics/reference/macroeconomic-objectives-and-macro-stability

students will analyze about several objectives of the Macroeconomics and they have to elaborate a concept map with the information.

            Session 4

The AICLE methodology highlights that it is important that students practice L2 while they are studying concepts of the subject and if these are related to their environment it will better for their comprehension. I will try to make an approach through economic newspapers. In this session, students will investigate in internet in order to look for news about economic indicators, and afterwards, working in pairs, they will explain them in the classroom.

            Session 6

To conclude this unit, students will learn about an indicator as Human Development Index provides information about the well-being of a society. For getting this, students will watch a video that shows what means this index:

Moreover, students have to elaborate a commentary about how indicators that have been studied are used to value well-being of society (scaffolding production).

To conclude, students will elaborate a presentation using concept map, or a computer program as Prezi in order to make an exposition about all contents analyzed in the classroom. The students could work in pairs or in groups of 3-4 pupils.

Furthermore, to finish, students will have to make a summary in their notebooks with concepts that have been studied while they were consulting different economic webs.

There are several exercises for making a review of all that have been explained during the sessions.

The interactive exercises of following webs could be used as a way of making a feed-back process:

http://www.educaplay.com/es/recursoseducativos/2222453/what_do_you_know_about____.htm

Finally, students must evaluate their learning process and so they will be able to assimilate the new knowledge of the unit.

The evaluation will be continuous. I´ll use different instruments to know the level reached by students: an exam about the different concepts of this unit with vocabulary, exercises (to calc economic indicators), writing about videos that have been watched in classroom and expositions about several subjects to improve their marks.
