3º Primary Natural Science

In this unit pupils will review and extend their knowledge of the human body and they will be introduced to the three vital body systems involved in nutrition: the  digestive system, circulatory system and respiratory system.

Learning outcomes

Identify the different body systems and the related organs.

Identifies and describes the different body systems: circulatory system, respiratory system and digestive system.

Identifies and describes the organs involved in the circulatory system, respiratory system and digestive system.

Start to understand the role of the body systems play in the nutrition process

Sesiones  de la Unidad Didáctica

1ª Sesión:  Repaso de las partes del cuerpo que conocen y presentación  de la nutrición.

Review

Con una imagen en la pizarra digital del cuerpo repasamos los nombres de sus partes.

Luego jugamos a recordar cómo se llamaban en la misma imagen sin los nombres.(lo podemos hacer de manera oral, con etiquetas con los nombres para colocar en el sitio correcto o que los alumnos salgan a escribirlas.

 Introduce nutrition.

3º- subrayan las palabras nuevas. traducimos en gran grupo las frases o plabras conocidas (andamiaje) y las palabras nuevas intentamos deducir su significado (andamiaje) por parecido a la lengua materna o por contexto. las que no podemos deducirlo las buscamos en el diccionario o internet y las anotamos para estudiarlas.

4º- Realizan ejercicios y contestan a preguntas sencillas sobre los textos.

6ª Sesión: Tarea final

In groups choose a body system and make a poster with it's main parts.
