Proposal for students of 5th or 6th grade in the subject of art.
General Introduction:
This unit aims to bring art to students, from their various expressions (painting, writing, sculpture, photography ...) using as a central axis the figure of women in the world of art. The idea is to use the question, provoke the opinion and through this to get an adequate formation of our students in a specific vocabulary, and to work the artistic contents defined in the curriculum.
Learning objectives:
-Learning and appreciating different Forms of ART.
-Know the importance of Authors of their works and their meaning.
-Learning to express and communicate with autonomy emotions and experiences in plastic dimension.
-Create a harmonic composition having given models.
-To acquire plastic techniques and use them for expressive.
-Produce a picture by imitating the technique of the author.
-Construct a sculpture with recycled materials.
-Recreation of the imagination and plastically express the different situations.

2º session
2- Read the following text in groups of four students. (Activity 2).
Who are they? There are many women who have been models in art, painting, sculpture and so on, but there are many women artists that we don't know.
¡Let´s meet some of them!.
- Adeline Virginia Woolf (January 25, 1882 – March 28, 1941) was an English writer. She was one of the most important modernist literary figures of the 20th century.
- Louise Nevelson (September 23, 1899-April 17, 1988) was a sculptor, using found and discarded objects. She was associated with cubism, Dadaism, surrealism and minimalism.
- Mary Cassatt (May 22, 1844 – June 14, 1926) was an American painter. She lived in France. Her best friend was Edgar Degas. Cassatt often created images of the social and private lives of women, with emphasis on the relationship between mothers and children.
- Clara Josephine Wieck Schumann (September 13, 1819 – May 20, 1896) was an important German musician. She worked for 61-years. She changed the way we listen to music. Her husband was the composer Robert Schumann. She was the first pianist to give public concerts of some of Brahms' music.
- Amalia Lopez came to Jaén in 1858. She was the first female photographer in Jaén. She set up her studio in her home and focused on portraits but also on invitations, business cards and photographs of the city.
2.1- Internet search by groups about these artists. Each group searches for information on the internet about one of them.
2.2- Organize the information to make the graphic presentation of what is found.

If today women are still in a situation of inequality compared to men in the art world, we can imagine why those women from other times who had some artistic gift had to go. Not only was their work not valued, but in many cases they were not even authorized to perform according to what trades.
At the moment, we still see that both the fame and the value of female artists continue to remain in the background. Proof of this, are some studies that ensure that the works of the most sought-after artists are worth up to 10 times lower than those of their male colleagues.
We are going to meet the most valued contemporary artists, who even today continue to struggle, with talent as a weapon, so that women get the space they deserve in the art world.

We will visit the museum Pedrillas de Cáceres (a session) and the film library of the city to see a screening of the film by Frida Kahlo, starring Salma Hayek in 2002, and tells the life of this Mexican artist.

Dirigida a alumnos de 5º o 6º de primaria en la materia de "art".
Introducción general:
Esta unidad pretende acercar el arte a los alumnos, desde sus diversas expresiones (pintura, escritura, escultura, fotografía….) utilizando como eje central la figura de la mujer en el mundo del arte. La idea es utilizar la cuestión, provocar la opinión y a través de ello conseguir una formación adecuada de nuestros alumnos en un vocabulario especifico, y trabajar así los contenidos artísticos definidos en el currículo.
Objetivos de aprendizaje:
-Aprender y apreciar las diferentes formas de ART.
- Conocer la importancia de los autores de sus obras y su significado.
-Aprender a expresar y comunicar con autonomía emociones y experiencias en dimensión plástica.
-Crear una composición armónica con modelos dados.
- Adquirir técnicas plásticas y utilizarlas para expresivas.
-Producir un cuadro imitando la técnica del autor.
-Construir una escultura con materiales reciclados.
-Recreación de la imaginación y expresión plástica de las diferentes situaciones.

¿Quiénes son? Hay muchas mujeres que han sido modelos en el arte, la pintura, la escultura y así sucesivamente, pero hay muchas mujeres artistas que no conocemos.
Vamos a conocer a algunas de ellas!

Si hoy las mujeres todavía están en una situación de desigualdad en comparación con los hombres en el mundo del arte, podemos imaginar por qué esas mujeres de otras épocas que tenían algún don artístico tuvo que ir. No sólo su trabajo no fue valorado, pero en muchos casos ni siquiera fueron autorizados a realizar de acuerdo a lo que los oficios.
Por el momento, todavía vemos que tanto la fama como el valor de las artistas femeninas continúan permaneciendo en segundo plano. Prueba de esto, son algunos estudios que aseguran que las obras de los artistas más buscados valen hasta 10 veces menos que las de sus colegas masculinos.
Vamos a conocer a los artistas contemporáneos más valorados, que aún hoy continúan luchando, con talento como arma, para que las mujeres obtengan el espacio que merecen en el mundo del arte.

Visitaremos el museo Pedrillas de Cáceres (una sesión) y la película de la ciudad para ver la proyección de la película de Frida Kahlo, protagonizada por Salma Hayek en 2002, y cuenta la vida de este artista mexicano.

Me parece una unidad didactica muy original y adecuada para el nivel programado. Además de los contenidos propios de la materia, trabaja transversalmente otros muy necesarios, como la igualdad. Gran variedad de actividades.
