The unit entitled "The Peninsular kingdoms in the Late Middle Ages" is aimed at students of 2nd of ESO for the subject of Geography and History. The objectives are that the students analyze the political, economic and social evolution and the cultural reality of the peninsular kingdoms during the last centuries of the Middle Ages, the relations between the Christian kingdoms and Al-Andalus in the context of the crisis that was lived in that period. The unit will be developed in approximately 8 sessions, which would include:
- First session, to know the previous knowledge of the students on the subject and reinforce knowledge that has already been seen in previous units.
- Second session, in which we would focus on analyzing the battle of Las Navas de Tolosa and the consequences of that battle
- Third and fourth session, devoted to the political evolution of the peninsular kingdoms
- Fifth and sixth session, focus on the economic and social aspects of the different kingdoms
- Seventh session, address cultural aspects
- Eighth and last session, review of it has been seen and final questionnaire.
It will be used different resources in each sessions, such as web pages, for example, as an introduction to the topic in the first session we will use a YouTube video about the Middle Ages in the Iberian Peninsula:
