Title of the Unit: Animals  

 Course / Level: 1º Primary Education

Subject: Natural Science

 

Introduction

 

This unit is about animals and pupils will learn quite alot of specific vocabulary related to animals and they will be introduced to the different ways we categorise animals depending on their bodies, treir movement, how they are  born, what they eat, their hábitat and whether or not they are domestic or wild. We will star with animals who live in the Sierra of San Pedro.

 

 

Learning outcomes

 

• To know different animals and some of their main characteristics.
• To distingish the different of vertebrates and invertebrates animals.
• To know the characteristics of hervivire, carnivore and omnivore animals.
• To be aware of the existence of different hábitats where animals live.
• To realice that there are domestic and wild animals.

 

Task:

 

- Work independently and proactively, and develop strategies for working in a group.

- Recognise and classify the most relevant animals in the local área.

 

Activities:

 

Name some animals you can see.

- Listen and circle the animals you hear.

- Sing the son and do the actions!

- Read and put a tick or a cross.

-Match the animals to the skeletons.

- Cross out the mistakes

- Listen to the animals move chant and draw an animal in each group.

- Listen and tick the viviparous animals.

- Circle the wild animals.
