DU TITLE: ELECTRICAL QUANTITIES
CONTEXT: This unit has been developed in order to be taught at the beginning of the first term. It has been prepared for a 12-student classroom. The students are around 16 years old, their English level is about A2 and all of them have elemental knowledge about electricity.
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
- · To know the different kinds of fundamental electrical quantities.
-
- · To calculate current, resistance and voltage using Ohm's law in elemental circuits.
-
- · To calculate power and energy in basic circuits.
-
- · To measure electrical resistance, current and voltage.
SUBJECT CONTENT:
- · The matter. Electrical charge.
-
- · Electrical resistance and its measurement.
-
- · Electric current and its measurement.
-
- · Voltage and its measurement.
-
- · Ohm's law.
-
- · Electrical power and its measurement.
-
- · Electrical energy.
