Post trabajo final


U.D  "Traditional games around the world"


Subject: Physical education

Level:4th primary school

Timing: 3 weeks

The objectives are: 

• To be able to play games from different countries and respect their rules and characteristics.

• To learn popular and traditional games from all around the world.

• To review the main events of different periods of history and other bilingual content.

• To be able to locate names of countries in a map.

• To cooperate in group activities.


The contents are: 


• Science and English: The continents of the world (Europe, Asia, Africa, Oceania and America), countries such as France, China, New Zealand, etc.

• Different periods of history: prehistory, ancient history, middle ages, modern ages and contemporary age.

 

Activities divided in 4 lessons, and 30 activities. To sum up:


We will use the P.E. Games to remember some habits in relation to play cooperative games, do some exercise every day, social relationships, properly postures, use free time wisely and know and apply basic rules of first aid.

Some examples of games are: "Prehistoric trade" (a dinamic game where you have to choose several materials), "Alla frutta" (a static game related to vocabulary), "Where do the games come from?" (a geography game), "Whirling circles" (a strategy game), "Riding a biclicle" (a balance and flexibility game), "El vendado" (a coordination game).

LESSON 1: 

Session 1
Warm up (15 min)
- Activity 1, Mobility exercises: mobility and static exercises.

Main part (20 min)
- Activity 3, "Alla frutta" (Italy). You try to find the fruit that a pupil say.
Cool down (15 min)
- Activity 4, "Where do the games come from?" Show me where Spain is and where the country (Italy) are of the games that we have played.

Session 2
Warm up (15 min)
- Activity 1, Mobility exercises: mobility and static exercises.

- Activity 2:"Greeks and Romans". Greeks have to chase the Romans, tag them and put them in jail. 
Main part (25 min)
- Activity 3: "Joao Palmada" (Brasil) Where Brasil is located in the map? (see picture 3). 

- Activity 4: "Whirling circles" (Canada) You have to run to the cone while holding hands and whirling around in your circle, then turn around and come back to your team.
Cool down (15 min)
- Activity 5: "Can you find the countries?" I'll hand out your maps of America (see Link 3) and find the

LESSON 2: 

Session 1

- Activity 1, Mobility exercises: mobility and static exercises.
- Activity 2: "Mide ages knights and peasants" Have a look cards and form two groups.

Main part (30 min)
- Activity 3: "Sam pal sun" (Korea) 

- Activity 4: "Riding a bicycle" (China) It's a race so the first bicycle to cross the opposite sideline is the winner. When they finish, get the players to change roles to get all of them be the "rider".
Cool down (10 min)
- Activity 5: "Where is Asia?" Let's download a map of Asia in our devices, through the link 4 then you try to find the countries

LESSON 3: 

Session 1

- Activity 1, Mobility exercises: mobility and static exercises.

Main part (30 min)
- Activity 3: "Desafío" (Kenia). Split in two teams, I need one team to stand along the side-line and the
other one along the halfway line.
- Activity 4: "Sasakuru" (Burkina Faso) You have to stand back to back with your partners and link your armsyou have to located both of countries Kenia and Burkina.

Cool down (15 min)
- Activity 5: "El vendado" I'm gonna blindfold you and you're gonna hold a bar. 


Session 2

- Activity 1, Mobility exercises: mobility and static exercises.

Main part (30 min)
- Activity 3: "Gemo" (Australia). Split into four group, we are gonna play horizontally from one sideline to the other one.
Cool down (8 min)
- Activity 4: "Endless marbles" Let's touch and spread your marbles out between your legs, you are sit in pairs. 


LESSON 4: 

Session 1
Warm up (10 min)
- Activity 1, Mobility exercises: mobility and static exercises.

- Activity 2: "Cortahilo" You have to cross between the two of them (corta el hilo), X and the runner.
Main part (30 min)
- Activity 3: "Carrera de sacos" (Spain) Let's go to introduce into the sacks and run.

Activity 4: "Gallinita ciega" (Blinds man's buff) Make a big circle. The "gallinita" has to try to tag the others.
Cool down (10 min)
- Activity 5: "1,2,3 pollito inglés".You have to learn on the wall with your back to your partners.


Session 2
Warm up (10 min)
- Activity 1, "Let's review the geography and material" "Someone has placed some cards of countries and material in class" (see pictures in folder)

Main part (30 min)
