This DU deals with the consequences of the planet Earth's position in the Solar System and the Earth's movements, shape and size to answer these questions.

The Earth: shape and size of the blue planet. Imaginary Lines.
The movements of Earth:
Earth Rotation: days and nights; time zones.
Earth Revolution: seasons; calendar.
Learning outcomes
Recognise the most relevant aspects of the shape and movements of the Earth.
Expose how day and night, and the seasons take place.
Relate these features of the Earth to the measure of time: time zones, and calendar.
Methodology
The sequence of activities goes from individual and pair-work groupings to small-group and whole-class
In each session the activities will move from controlled to free practise.
A Flip lesson has been included to enhance the student's autonomy
