Title of the unit: The string instruments.
This unit of the English L2 music area of Primary Education is aimed at third-year students.
The unit "The string instruments" aims to work the classification, audition, characteristics of string instruments from the approach of the aicle methodology in English L2. The main objectives that we intend to achieve with it will be:
Audible recognition of string and wind instruments
Visually recognize string and wind instruments
Know how to classify wind and string family instruments
Create instruments with recycled material.
Regarding the objectives in L2 we will consider recognizing the vocabulary of the different instrument names, as well as working on the questions What is your fauvorite ...?, Can you play ...?
We will pursue the achievement of these objectives by working with the scaffolding system, trying not to leave the zone of the student's close development so that the contents are not too far from the student being unreachable, or too close that does not allow them to advance in learning. We will apply this criterion both to the contents of the music area itself as well as to the contents of the English language.
The tasks with which we will work will be cooperative, seeking the student-student and student-teacher interaction.
The unit consists of four 45-minute sessions.
