This unit is addressed to children in the 1st level  in Science. This topic is really useful for children so that they can understand the importance of helping at home since they are children, which is our first objective. Children are going to communicate using English in the class, identifying family members and housework and learning the importance of sharing the housework. 

The objectives of this unit are:

 - Know the members of the family (parents, brothers, grandparents, cousins and uncles)

- Know the vocabulary of kinship relationships

- Collaborate in daily housework

- Respect family members, especially older ones

- Respect different types of families

- Know the different dependencies of the house

- Differentiate the use of the different rooms of the house

- Relate furniture and rooms of the house

- Name furniture in the house

We need between 6 or 8 sessions to develop the activities of the unit, which are: 

- Presentation of vocabulary using flashcards. (Listen, point, repeat...)

The final task consists of representing in a genealogical tree of somebody's family and of another family and representing their room and describing it.
