The main aim of this unit is to enable oral and written communication in English as a foreign language on the topic of travelling and experiences, promoting the key competences and increasing motivation and knowledge through CLIL activities. Moreover, in this unit the student will learn about other subjects such as Geography and PE.
Didactic objectives and activities:
Stage 1: check previous knowledge with oral warm-up activities.
S2: practice new vocabulary and recycle familiar vocabulary
S3: practice & consolidate new grammar structures
S4: develop listening skills with semi-authentic recordings in realistic situations
S5: develop speaking skills, promoting fluency and accuracy
S6: free production of new language in a creative activity using new technology
Evaluation criterias: Identify essential information and main points and most relevant details in short and well structured oral texts in standardized language; Include socio-cultural and socio-linguistic knowledge connected with social structures, interpersonal relationships, behaviour models and social conventions; Recognise commonly used written vocabulary about daily matters and general subjects connected with interest; Write, either on paper or electronically, simple, short texts with clear structures about daily subjects or matters of personal interest.
