Title: Unit 1 : Knowing my country

Description:
The unit deals with topic of geography, specifically relief and landscapes of Spain and Europe. It has been designed for the 6th year of primary education and it has been thought to be carried out in 8 sessions, although it is flexible and it can be adapted to different contexts. Although it is the first unit, the contents have already been reviewed in previous years so pupils should be familiar with them. Pupils will learn to locate and distinguish the main landforms and coastal landforms of Spain and Europe through an active methodology which involves carrying out a final project, ICT activities and group activities.
The contents which will be dealt with in this unit are:
· Spain and Europe in the globe
· Geographical diversity in landscapes in Spain: relief and hydrography.
· Geographical diversity in landscapes in Europe: relief and hydrography.
· Coasts, landforms, rivers, archipelagos in Spain.
· Coasts, landforms, rivers in Europe.
