This didactic unit aims to achieve the acquisition of basic communication skills in the use of the language: listening, speaking, reading and writing, through comprehensive learning based on evaluation criteria, content structuring and objectives. This didactic unit will work on the human senses and the organs that make them up.
Why The Five Senses are important?
The color of the sky, the sound of a dog barking, the scent of a rose, the taste of chocolate cake, the feel of a cool breeze— everything that we know about the world comes to us through our five senses. Humans gather information about their environment through the use of sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch. Each of the five senses responds to specific stimuli in the world around us, and each uses a unique part of the body to take in information. This domain will be one of many that will follow in subsequent grade levels in which students will broaden their knowledge of the human body. An exploration of the senses also requires students to make observations and then use language to describe those observations, both of which are key skills in the scientific process
My didactic unit is based on the following objectives:
- To find out how important the five senses are in the relation function. - To relate the organs of the senses to the perceptions are percieved. - To identify the parts of the senses organs - To understand the importance of protecting the different organs - To observe our own body to percieve how the senses work. |
- To discover the relation that exists among the senses
The final task will be carry out throught out several activities developed in 7 sessions.

Hello Montaña, I really like your unit description and it is long enough to study the topic. I would add some activities to incorporate all the vocabulary in routine sentences in order to fix that vocab. Anyway, great job.
